This year has me thinking about the things I'm really grateful for. The people, the music, the friends, the creators, the community, the family, the food.

Making food, sharing food, enjoying food, and all the individual moments created around food. Food is necessary alone and better together. As long as there's been people, there's been food. We've been working at it for all human time. A big shared need and tradition of coming together around food, fire, and music.

Just like music, food is in the moment. There's stuff that goes together, and stuff that won't. Things don't always turn out the way you thought. There's always a new surprise. Something you haven't tried before. Something familiar that suddenly grabs your attention.

I love to listen to music while I cook.

The studio is right next to the kitchen. It's common to get lost in a patch or a session and develop a big appetite. So I go over to the kitchen, and start to cook. That shift in focus from one task to another changes my perspective from making to tasting. I go from working on music to listening to music.

Hopefully this menu helps keep you company while you're cooking, eating, whatever. Hopefully it finds you when you're feeling good, or maybe helps you feel better. Have a good moment.
